چکیده
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate adenocarcinoma are the most common disorders affecting elderly men. The diseases androgen-dependent treated by obstructing androgen receptor (AR) or their action. AR has direct relationship between development of carcinoma. Estrogens directly target tissue definite estrogen receptors (ER). human is primed with a dual system ERs (ER-α ER-β). Use estrogens as hormonal agents for suppressing growth. Study aims to identify, assess establish significance ER marker in distinguishing BPH A cross sectional study was conducted at tertiary care hospital over period two year on 65 specimens which included 30 malignant cases 35 benign cases. Specimens received were tru-cut biopsy, transurethral resection chips (TURP) prostatectomy specimen TURP lesions. Paraffin embedded blocks stained H&E IHC performed representative sections graded .the results assessed association various parameters both Out majority needle biopsies (54%). age presentation 55-84 years mean being 68.93 years. In presenting 35-84 63 Histopathological lesions, showed negative correlation grade group PNI positive neutrophils. Higher adverse histological parameters. %PSA <25% malignancy. positivity noted 80% 100% weaker maximum all malignant, showing higher intensity. Hormones play multifactorial role pathogenesis carcinoma; commonly estrogen, can be used towards finding better therapy.

Androgen Receptor Expression in Epithelial and Stromal Cells of Prostatic Carcinoma and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
BACKGROUND Prostatic carcinoma (PCa) derives from prostatic epithelial cells. However stromal microenvironment, associated with malignant epithelium, also plays a role in prostatic carcinogenesis. Alterations in prostatic stromal cells contribute to the loss of growth control in epithelial cells that lead to progression of PCa. AIM To analyse the differences between Androgen Receptor (AR) exp...
متن کاملComparative analysis of resected prostate weight in diabetic and non-diabetic benign prostatic hyperplasia patients
Background: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common benign tumor in men. The etiology of BPH is still unresolved and multiple systems are likely to be involved. The effects of diabetes on urinary system are a risk factor for BPH. We then assessed the effects of diabetes on the parameters related to BPH, especially weight and volume. Methods: This study was conducted on patients...
متن کاملAndrogen receptor and immune inflammation in benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer.
Both benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer (PCa) are frequent diseases in middle-aged to elderly men worldwide. While both diseases are linked to abnormal growth of the prostate, the epidemiological and pathological features of these two prostate diseases are different. BPH nodules typically arise from the transitional zone, and, in contrast, PCa arises from the peripheral zone...
متن کاملComparison of Estrogen Receptor and Progesterone Receptor in Ductal Carcinoma and Lobular Carcinoma With Regard to Age Prevalence
Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common women’s cancers, and the number of cases is increasing worldwide. Objective: The current study compared invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) and invasive ductal carcinoma with regard to the prevalence of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and age prevalence. Methods: T...
متن کاملComparison of computed tomographic and cytological results in evaluation of normal prostate, prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia in dogs
Prostate gland can be structurally evaluated by computed tomography (CT) with taking advantages of tomographic feature and post-contrast parenchymal changes. The current examination initiated to determine association between computed tomographic and cytological results in evaluation of canine prostate. Thirty mature male dogs were included and under gone by both CT and fine needle sampling of p...
